Before you start

Some steps need the store Owner or an Admin

A short list of what to set up before you start taking orders. Each item links to a step-by-step article where there is one. Most of these are under Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar.

Checklist

  1. Store details. In Settings → General → General, fill in Site Info (title and tagline), upload your Logo and Favicon, and add your Contact Details (phone, email, address, opening hours). Click Save changes; you'll see "Settings saved".
  2. Order numbers. On the same page, set an Order number prefix if you want one. The preview shows how numbers will look.
  3. Your look. In Settings → Storefront, choose your Theme and set up the Header, Home Sections and Footer.
  4. Delivery. In Settings → Shipping & Delivery, set your Delivery Charges and connect your courier under Delivery Methods. See Connect a courier.
  5. Payments. Cash on delivery is on from the start. Which other payment methods you can turn on depends on your plan; you manage them in Settings → Payments → Storefront Payment. See Set up payment methods.
  6. Products. Add your first products in Inventory → Products, then add stock. See Add a product.
  7. Your domain (optional). Connect your own web address in Settings → Storefront → Domains. See Connect your own domain.
  8. Your team (optional). Add staff and choose what each person can do in Settings → General → Users. See Add staff and set their access.
  9. Your account's safety. Turn on the authenticator for two-factor sign-in.

Tips

  • A favicon of 512×512 PNG works best.
  • If you can't find or open a page you expect, it may not be part of your plan, or your account may not have the permission for it. Owners and Admins can see plans under Settings → General → Subscription.
