Choose a theme and build your home page

Preview and apply a theme with your own content, set your colours, fonts and product cards, and arrange your home page sections.

Updated 5 min read5 steps

Your store's look comes from its theme: the home page layout, colours, fonts, header, product cards, buttons and footer. Pick a theme to start from, then fine-tune the colours, fonts and cards, and arrange your home page section by section.

Before you start

  • You need the permission Storefront design. Store Owners and Admins have it. Managers and Staff don't have it by default.
  • Add your products and categories first, so the theme previews and home page sections have real content to show.

Steps

5 steps · ~4 min

  1. Step 1

Go to Settings → Storefront → Theme. The theme your store uses is marked Current.
  2. Step 2

Click a theme card to open its preview.
  3. Step 3

Switch between Demo content (the theme's sample images and text) and My content (your own images and text moved into the theme's layout). Check it on desktop and phone.
  4. Step 4

Under Choose what to apply, untick any part you want to keep as it is now: Home page layout, Colours, Fonts, Header & top bar, Cards & look or Footer design. What changes lists exactly what will happen.
  5. Step 5

Click Apply everything (or Apply selected). To take only the theme's home page, click Layout only. The theme is saved straight away.

What carries over when you switch themes

  • Your images and text are kept. They move into the new home page layout. Sections the new layout doesn't use are kept at the bottom of your home page, turned off. Nothing is deleted.
  • Where the new layout has a section you don't have yet, it is filled with sample images or text, or added turned off. The message after applying tells you which ones to replace on Home Sections.
  • Your menu categories, top-bar messages, footer links and footer text are kept.
  • Applying a theme replaces the colours, fonts, header style, card design and footer design you had, for each part you ticked.

Undo a theme change

After applying, the Theme page shows a banner with an Undo button. Undo puts back the parts of that change you haven't edited since. Only the last change can be undone. If it changed your home page layout, you can undo it only until you next save your home page.

Colours, fonts and product cards

These settings sit under the theme cards on the Theme page. Change them, then click Save changes at the top.

  1. Colours: click Change colours. Pick a ready-made palette or set your own Primary colour (buttons, menu bar, prices and links) and Accent colour (sale tags and the Buy Now button). Click Done.
  2. Fonts: click Change fonts. Pick a ready-made pair, or choose your own English font and Bangla font. Click Done.
  3. Product cards: pick a design (Classic, Boxed, Minimal or Docked) and set the options, such as Photo shape, Discount badge, Wishlist heart and Second photo on hover. This changes how products look in grids and sliders across your whole store.
  4. Look: choose the Button style, Button hover, Corners and Page width.

Build your home page

Your home page is a list of sections (widgets), shown from top to bottom.

  1. Go to Settings → Storefront → Home Sections.
  2. To add a section, click Add Widget, pick a widget and a variant. It is added at the bottom.
  3. Click a section's Edit button to change its images, text and links. The preview shows it on desktop or phone. Click Save this section to save it straight away.
  4. Drag sections to change their order. On a phone, use Move up and Move down in the section's menu.
  5. Use a section's switch to show or hide it. A hidden section keeps its content.
  6. Click Save changes at the top to save the order and on/off changes. The message has a View store link to check the result.

FAQ

A required part, such as an image, is missing. Open the section, complete the highlighted part, and click Save this section. While a section is incomplete it is hidden on your store, and Save changes on the page asks you to fix it first.

On Home Sections, click Reset to discard everything you haven't saved yet. For a theme you applied, use Undo on the Theme page.

Someone saved the home page in another tab while you were previewing a theme. StoreLine reloads it; check the preview and click Apply again.
